Geneseo Community Main Street 4/17/2019 @ Big Tree Inn

1] Treasurer’s report: None this week. Penny is taking over this position.
2] May Day Sip & Stroll: Will review with all makers and businesses next to firm up placements. Andy is coming with his food truck, he would like to be on Center Street in a parking space. Ticket sales are going well, we increased to 320. We have almost sold out now, so will probably have no need of taking cash the day of. We have locations including Crickets. Grayce reached out to the Food Pantry to see if they have volunteers for the night to check proof and put on wristbands.
We have the String Band, Rose & Woods, Big Tree will be having music. Crickets may have someone. Michelle will check out who is the owner of Aunt Cookies. Nicole will ask the Theater 37 in Perry. Beth will be the photographer. Karen will be placing the flower baskets in the fountain.
There will be at least 2 gift baskets for the raffle from our group. Allysa will make the baskets. They will be at the two registration locations. Nicole verified the bathrooms to be open during the event. Laurie from Sheer FX found her own winery. Nicole, Letchworth Gateway, volunteered the day of.
Touch of Grayce will be also hosting an artist. Beth will ask Ruth Ann about an artist at the Bakery. Discussion: Expanding this event to include art, music. Louise volunteered to work on that for next year. Should we expand the event to include participants
3] Future Events: We will not closing off Center Street during the Rotary Summer Festival. There will be Sidewalk Sales from Thursday to Saturday of that weekend. We agreed to do the Teddy Bear Stroll during that week, ending on July 13. Main Street Bash will be August 29. Louise has more information on the event Girls Night Out. She will present at a future meeting.
4] Intern: Grayce suggested paying the intern a set amount, not an hourly wage. We will give Nicole the job description with stipend. We need someone for Main Street Bash in August? Louise will ask Nicole about an intern from her group. Mary Kay also needs someone to help the Welcome Center.
5] Misc: Letchworth Guide is not being handed out at the gates, so we chose not to advertise this year. Distribution is unknown. Louise mentioned that there is new manager of that.
